Located in Naria, Shariatpur, about eighty-five kilometers from the capital -the house sits in the middle of a quiet village, the client’s hometown. Designed for his family and their guests, it offers a reprieve from the intensity of living in Dhaka. The name “Nirontor” was chosen to signify a generational connection to their ancestral home.

The Design was conceptualized as a Corbusian promenade through Miesian pavilions contextualized for the sub-tropical climate. It takes cues from the surrounding architecture – raising the plinth to avoid flooding and extending eaves to protect from the rain and the sun.
